Meet the Artist: Kim Darling (Omaha, NE)

Kim Darling is currently showing 5 pieces of artwork at hutch. Kim is active in her personal studio practice, teaching and curating. With a BFA in studio art from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Kim paints and draws iconic pieces, that once you know Kim's work, you will recognize right away.

Kim's painting and drawing works utilize iconic imagery and mark making generated in a method much like automatic drawing. She participates in residencies throughout the country and has been featured in regional solo and group shows. Her passion for collaboration has led her to social practice and partnership with local, national and international artists, as well as to open Sweatshop Gallery in the Benson District of Omaha.
